South Dublin County has over 280,000 people living in it, with approximately 185,000 of working age. Almost 30 percent of the local population possess a 3rd level qualification. Students in the county have seven third-level educational institutions within easy access by public transport, including UCD, DCU, Trinity College, and TU Dublin.

TU Dublin (Technological University Dublin) - Ireland’s largest University - with over 28,000 students and a full-service campus in Tallaght, South Dublin County. It also has campuses in Blanchardstown and Dublin City Centre.

DCU
Dublin City University

DCU’s research is renowned for its quality and focus on real societal needs, and its enterprise focus is reflected in its strong industry-academic collaborations. Since 1980, DCU has grown in both student numbers and size to just under 17,000 students and 1,800 staff, across three academic campuses. DCU currently delivers more than 200-degree programmes across its five faculties – DCU Institute of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences, Science and Health, Engineering and Computing, and DCU Business School. Trinity is Ireland’s highest-ranked university. UCD
University College Dublin
